3 Things to Know Before You Register
- Children must be 5 years of age on or before September 1st, 2022 to enroll in the 2022-23 school year.
- Documents you’ll need at registration are your child’s birth certificate, proof of immunization, proof of residency (piece of mail), and official custody papers if applicable.
- Enrollment can take place online or in-person at a designated location. Visit your local school district’s website for more information.
Attend Kindergarten events in your area!
Once registered, it’s not too early to start preparing your child for the school year. You can start by looking for Kindergarten events in your area.
- Anchorage, June 4: Countdown to Kindergarten, hosted by the Loussac Library, Anchorage School District, Anchorage Museum, and United Way of Anchorage, is an interactive educational event to prepare your little ones for their Kindergarten year.

- Juneau, July 5 – 28: Kindergarten JumpStart Camp is a great way to expose your Kinder to other children their age and build independence. Camp is $100. Click here to register.
