Don’t miss thread’s annual Infant Toddler Symposium. Join us for a special day of learning focused on our youngest learners – infants and toddlers!
Learn how to crawl, walk, run using the Alaska Early Learning Guidelines. Cover the five Alaska Early Learning Guidelines domains in five workshops — each focused on one of the domains: 1) Communication Language and Literacy, 2) Cognition, 3) Social/Emotional Development, 4) Physical Activity, and 5) Approaches to Learning. Get new ideas for supporting your infant and toddler’s growth and development, and more!
Additional Benefits to Attending:
- 6 hours of Alaska SEED Approved training (must be present all day to receive credit)
- Lunch conversation with the State of Alaska Child Care Program Office on increasing infant and toddler capacity statewide

Amy Simpson
MS, CCC-SLP, MNM Executive Director of PIC, Speech Language Pathologies and Early Interventionist
Amy Simpson began her career in 1995, as a Speech Language Pathologist/Early Interventionist with PIC and became the Executive Director in 2004. She has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Communication Disorders from Colorado State University and a master’s in Nonprofit Management from Regis University. After 27 years here, she considers Alaska home, and works to make sure Alaska’s “infants, toddlers and their families have access to the specialized services they need”.
