thread, in partnership with the State of Alaska Child Care Program Office (CCPO), is excited to call for proposals for two new competitive grant programs: IMPROVE Child Care Grant and Community INNOVATION Grant. The purpose of the grants is to increase and sustain the availability of affordable, high-quality child care across Alaska after the impact of COVID-19.
For the last three years, thread has been proud to be a partner and act as an intermediary for the State of Alaska in support of the COVID-19 federal relief Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSA) and American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) dollars. This has included targeted efforts to stabilize child care across the state as well as bolster the child care workforce and quality of child care.
