Election Day 2022 Is Around the Corner 

We’re just one month away from Election Day 2022! As we head into the final weeks, here are some ways you can prepare to make your vote count for kids. 

Know your candidates!

There’s still time to learn who your candidates are and their positions on issues that matter to you.

• Check these websites for candidate information for your district: 
  • Find your district here 
  • Candidate list here 
  • Sample ballots for each district here 
    
• Get to know your candidates.  Many candidates are door knocking in neighborhoods and participating in various candidate forums. Media outlets are tracking candidate responses to questions. Click here for a candidate position comparison from the Alaska Beacon. 
• Have specific questions?  Send your candidates an email with your questions. You can find a few child care specific questions here.

Make time and a voting plan!

Decide how and when you’re going to vote: by mail, in-person early voting, or on election day. Then start making your plan.  

• By Mail:  Fill out an absentee ballot request form here.
  
• In-Person: 
  • Early Voting Begins, October 24 – Check the list of early voting polling locations here. 
  • Election Day, November 8 – Check the hours and location for your polling place here (it may be different from last year due to redistricting).
