The State of Alaska Department of Education and Early Development (DEED) is considering adopting State of Alaska Early Learning Guidelines (ELG) regulation changes and wants YOUR feedback!
Alaska’s ELG, released last January, spells out what Alaska’s children should know and be able to do at the end of four critical stages of development (18 months, 36 months, 60 months and kindergarten entry).
Proposed amendments to the ELG include:
After the public comment period ends, DEED will either adopt the proposed regulation changes, or decide to take no action. The language of the final regulation may be different from that of the proposed regulation.
