Each year, voters have a critical opportunity to elect candidates to public office at all levels of government. Those elected will make public policy decisions that will directly impact child care \u2014 and Alaska\u2019s families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to 2020 US Census data, 1 in 4 eligible Americans are not registered to vote. Every year, many find themselves unable to vote because they miss the registration deadline, don\u2019t update their registration, or aren\u2019t sure how to register.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sept. 28 is National Voter Registration Day, an opportunity to celebrate democracy and encourage new voters to register for the first time. For existing voters, it\u2019s also a great reminder to update your information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 2012, nearly 4.5 million voters have registered to vote on National Voter Registration Day to date. If you\u2019re not registered to vote, now\u2019s the time!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
