You can send an email or mail a handwritten note.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tag them on social media.<\/strong> Consider taking a photo with the legislator and share it on social media.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Create an agenda.<\/strong> Assign specific segments of the conversation to different people on your team.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Don\u2019t forget the facts. <\/strong>Sharing data about child care makes personal stories even more powerful.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Prepare a two-minute elevator pitch.<\/strong> Be ready with a quick two-minute pitch in case your meeting is cut short.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Be the expert. <\/strong>Don\u2019t assume the legislator or their staff know about child care.
