All QIs involve developing goals that support continuous quality improvement, participation in educational opportunities, technical assistance, and financial assistance.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What Quality Initiatives is thread offering this year?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>thread<\/strong> is excited to offer the following QIs: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list has-dark-gray-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-e9182978cba7a9b6643ec34d581afa80\">\n<li>For new child care businesses: New Provider<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For licensed child care programs: Infant\/Toddler; Accreditation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Find more detailed information in the QI summaries below. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Am I eligible to receive a Quality Initiative?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are an early childhood education new\/existing owner or program administrator who is current\/active in the Alaska SEED Registry, you may be eligible to apply. This Quality Initiative (QI) is intended for individual owners\/providers and programs within their first year of licensing or with a provisional child care license. This Quality Initiative (QI) is an opportunity to learn more about the accreditation requirements and the process involved to voluntarily become accredited through either the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) or the National Association of Family Child Care (NAFCC). Getting familiar with the accreditation requirements allows you the opportunity to reflect on the quality of your services compared to national practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>As a participant, you will:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Receive orientation to <strong>thread <\/strong>services.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Access your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.threadalaskatools.org\/utility-pages\/log-in\/?redirectUrl=\/\"><strong>thread<\/strong> Tools<\/a> account and discover many valuable resources.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Explore the accreditation requirements and process.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop SMART goals to improve the quality of your program with your <strong>thread<\/strong> Professional Development Specialist partner.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in agreed-upon trainings and educational opportunities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Receive up to 5 hours of Technical Assistance (TA) based on SMART Goals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once the goals have been met, receive a financial award of $500 to support goal implementation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns are-vertically-aligned-top is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-3 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-top is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:50%\">\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Work for or own a current or provisionally licensed childcare program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be current\/active <a href=\"https:\/\/www.threadalaska.org\/seed\/registry\">Alaska SEED Registry<\/a>.
