The CCC pilot program will establish a full-time childcare center for up to 44 children ages 19 months to 5 years old. Unlike most childcare operations, employees in the WOC model are \u201cworker-owners&#8221; empowered to create, own, and democratically control business decisions. WOCs are values-based entities built on principles of concern for the community, cooperation, member autonomy, participation, and shared learning. The goal of CCC is to bring together worker-owners and invested community partners to provide affordable, high-quality, licensed childcare, and serve as a catalyst for robust workforce development and worker-owner entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Position Title: Project Manager (PM) to lead the development of the Citywide Childcare Cooperative (CCC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Purpose: We are seeking a dynamic and skilled PM with excellent communication skills to oversee the development of a new worker-owned cooperative childcare center pilot program being established in downtown Anchorage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Qualification: The PM is highly skilled, has effective communication skills, and can lead and work as part of a team. This person has proven leadership and experience managing projects. The PM will also be responsible of engaging stakeholders and promoting a collaborative environment. A background in early childhood education or community development is beneficial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Key Capabilities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Strong leadership abilities and a history of working effectively within a team environment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience delivering results within established timelines<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strategic planning abilities and the capacity to inspire and motivate a team<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Effective public speaking and presentation skills, capable of engaging diverse audiences<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience with software platforms for communications and project management: TEAMS, Microsoft Suites, Excel<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Budget management skills, including tracking and projecting expenditures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ideal candidates will have knowledge and experience in the early childhood field, concerning the municipality of Anchorage&#8217;s childcare licensing codes and\/or childcare center operations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Primary Area(s) of Service: Manage the launch of the CCC pilot program with supporting partners to achieve CCC goals:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Overseeing and ensuring that the goals are met and maintaining alignment with the project&#8217;s mission.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage the administration and operations, handling key partnerships and ensuring seamless coordination with community partners.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop specific plans, schedules, and timelines for achieving CCC goals<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Documenting and reporting the project progress to team members, committee members, and grant-making entities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Act as a supporting role in grant-related activities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Partner with the Municipality of Anchorage Childcare Licensing Office for daycare licensure<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordination with THREAD for childcare staff training resources<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support CCC staff in program operations, and curriculum development in partnership with early childhood consultants.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Compliance with the State of Alaska\u2019s Early Learning Guidelines for curriculum development<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Oversee building renovations alongside First United Methodist Church<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support the training and onboarding efforts of CCC staff<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This position will work under the guidance of the Project Lead and alongside other project partners.
