This position is open to any world language outside of English (Russian, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, etc.). The language teacher will work with students from Grades 1-8, motivating children to have an open heart to foreign language and culture. A well-rounded teacher will fit this role by using songs, games, dramatizations and more to teach vocabulary, grammar, comprehension, cultural practices as well as written and oral skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Position Overview:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Work Location: Anchorage Waldorf School<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work Status: This is a non-exempt part-time position averaging 15 hours a week.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Schedule: Schedule would fall between Monday-Friday 11-3pm. Potential flexibility on days\/times. Inquire for more details.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Start date: August 2024<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fluency in language to be taught<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience teaching children, ages 6-14<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Waldorf trained\/in training (or commitment to learning and practicing the Waldorf pedagogy)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to plan and deliver diverse curriculum<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Organized, dependable, punctual<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Able to work collaboratively<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Compensation:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pay commensurate with experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tuition remission available<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Our School:<br>Nestled below the Alaskan Chugach Mountain Range, the Anchorage Waldorf School embodies Rudolf Steiner\u2019s ideals to spark and nurture the highest potential in humanity.
