{"id":38189,"date":"2023-07-18T09:02:09","date_gmt":"2023-07-18T17:02:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.threadalaska.org\/?post_type=jobs&#038;p=38189"},"modified":"2023-07-18T09:02:12","modified_gmt":"2023-07-18T17:02:12","slug":"starbright-south-full-time-teacher-needed-4-10s","status":"publish","type":"jobs","link":"https:\/\/www.threadalaska.org\/jobs\/starbright-south-full-time-teacher-needed-4-10s\/","title":{"rendered":"Starbright South &#8211; Full time teacher needed 4\/10&#8217;s"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Assistant Teacher Job Responsibilities<br>This person is responsible for assisting the lead teacher in the general supervision and management of the classroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Qualifications<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This person must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be in the process of obtaining a CDA, AA in Early Childhood Development or an Early Childhood Development Certificate; actively working on the required 24 hours of yearly training.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Meet the requirements of the Municipality of Anchorage Child Care licensing code.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have a current CPR\/First Aid\/AED certificate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be warm and friendly and able to engage with children, staff, and parents.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be sensitive to the needs and feelings of others.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be able to relate well and understand children.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be able to fulfill his\/her responsibilities in accordance with the facility\u2019s philosophy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be willing to work as a positive team member and actively work well with other staff.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Responsibilities<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ensuring the health and safety of all children is the greatest responsibility of all Starbright teachers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assisting in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate lessons and learning activities as we as daily cleaning and organization\/ maintenance and classroom management and transition times.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supervising the classroom when the lead teacher is not in the room.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must always maintain a professional attitude and loyalty to the school.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Treating all the children with dignity and respect.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attending all staff meetings and other recommended training programs\u2014Starbright in-service, thread trainings, UAA Childhood Development courses, CDA training sessions, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participating in professional organizations that work for the improvement of early childhood education.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrates a genuine interest and enthusiasm in learning about teaching young children with intent of becoming a lead teacher in the future.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","jobs_category":[38],"class_list":["post-38189","jobs","type-jobs","status-publish","hentry","jobs_category-non-thread"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v24.0 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Starbright South - Full time teacher needed 4\/10&#039;s - Thread<\/title>\n<meta name=\"robots\" content=\"index, follow, max-snippet:-1, max-image-preview:large, max-video-preview:-1\" \/>\n<link rel=\"canonical\" href=\"https:\/\/www.threadalaska.org\/jobs\/starbright-south-full-time-teacher-needed-4-10s\/\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:locale\" content=\"en_US\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:type\" content=\"article\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:title\" content=\"Starbright South - Full time teacher needed 4\/10&#039;s - Thread\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:description\" content=\"Assistant Teacher Job ResponsibilitiesThis person is responsible for assisting the lead teacher in the general supervision and management of the classroom.
