The person selected for this position will be responsible for the management of classes of preschool aged children and the director of the cooperative preschool non-profit organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They are familiar and comfortable with play-based teaching styles. They are community-minded with a desire to foster good relationships with families and other organizations. Administrator Responsibilities (State of Alaska Licensing Compliance):
To be performed in conjunction with the assistant teacher to ensure all bullets are met and maintained throughout the school year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
REQUIREMENTS:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
COMPENSATION:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hourly wage: $23 + \/hour DOE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
College tuition opportunities up to 100% (grants change year to year),<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Continuing education reimbursed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Access to thousands of free hours in training<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1 child free tuition for 1 class\/ teacher (cannot be enrolled in both classes free of tuition)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
SCHEDULE:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We follow the Valdez City Schools calendar with few exceptions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Teachers must be in the classroom 15 minutes prior to and after each class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Classes held M-TH, Friday will be solely an administration and preparation day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Evaluations are conducted biannually (fall & spring). The board will complete the evaluation using a standard evaluation form (copies in the Personnel Handbook).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
