SUMMARY: Working with children between the ages of 6 weeks and 12 years (depending on classroom assignment), Teacher II positions are part of a teaching team and lead or co-lead daily routines, fun, and learning activities. They are also required to maintain safe supervision and sanitary practices at all times, and assist in promoting the development of children according to required Municipality of Anchorage licensing standards, as well as the standards of the Child Development Center (CDC). A Teacher II is required to confidently lead or co-lead activities or routines all throughout the day with a co-worker, or independently as required. This position receives 120 hours of new staff training to learn or review the standards of working at our licensed child care center at Woodland Park.
