This position is primarily responsible for positive member experience, customer service, focusing on relationship building, conflict resolution, community building, and leading daily programs. Secondarily, this position prepares and serves nutritious meals in compliance with federal food regulations and within budgeted resources, to achieve optimal client satisfaction in food and nutrition operations. Operations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lead or assist in leading daily schedule, programs and activities with youth<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure the Club is safe, clean and attractive<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist in supervision of volunteers as needed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Build positive relationships and resolve conflicts between members using approved youth development methods<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist in planning clubs, programs and activities as needed, including preparing materials and spaces<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Utilize data collection tools including MyClubHub to record attendance, program participation, volunteer hours, emergency contacts, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Marketing and Public Relations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assist in marketing Club services to local schools, organizations and community as needed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Represent the Club and organization by attending community events as needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Partnership Development<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Respond quickly and professionally to stakeholders, schools, and community leaders<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Build positive, professional relationships with families and the community<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Resource Management<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Maintain technology, tools, equipment, and facilities including regular cleaning and maintenance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure facility security and safety, including being responsible for controlled access, reporting issues, and coordinating with management as needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Strategic Planning<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provide feedback and implement plans from Clubhouse Operations related to programs, and membership and program attendance goals<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Partner with Clubhouse staff, stakeholders and Clubhouse Operations to expand membership base and areas served<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>COOK ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (30 \u2013 40%)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Prepare Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) compliant meals for youth and youth-serving staff, including community meals and events as required<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure all CACFP or SFSP guidelines and regulations are met, including appropriate serving sizes of foods<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Responsible for inspecting food services daily including food deliveries, checking ovens, refrigerators, freezers, and all equipment for proper temperatures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Responsible for proper food labeling and proper storage of opened food packaging<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Organize food deliveries, sort and store received goods and report supply shortages in a timely manner<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct basic inventory needs and record keeping assignments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain cleanliness, organization and safety of kitchen and pantry according to health and safety regulations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare monthly meal plans no later than one week prior and submit for supervisor approval<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Follow and maintain all required CACFP or SFSP record keeping guidelines and procedures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare and manage nutrition requirements for per CACFP<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SKILLS &amp; KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Note: If you meet most qualifications, have diverse experiences, and a passion for serving Alaska\u2019s youth, you are welcome to apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>High school diploma preferred, may substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 years of experience with youth preferred OR a strong interest in youth education, advocacy, or development required<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Food Handler\u2019s Card required, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 years of food service work preferred OR One-year food service experience in the area of general food preparation, proper food handling and safety, and sanitation required<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to achieve and maintain first aid and CPR certification<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must pass a name-based and fingerprint criminal records background check<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk, sit, stand, see, utilize fine and gross motor manipulation, and climb ramps, stairs and\/or into planes. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
