Robert Barr is the Deputy City Manager for the City & Borough of Juneau. He leads a variety of local government operations including emergency services, parks & recreation, libraries, and internal services departments. He also works on specific policy goals of the city, including Juneau’s efforts to financially support local child care businesses and employees. He serves on the thread <\/strong>Board of Directors because he believes high quality child care is a cornerstone of our educational system and economy. He holds a MA from the University of Missouri, Columbia, in Library Science and a BA from William Jewell College in Psychology & Classics. He is a 10-year resident of Alaska with his wife, Anjanette, and four children.
