In partnership with Alaska Children\u2019s Trust thread will Go Blue on Friday, March 31st, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Go Blue Day is a way to raise public awareness about child abuse. It is a time to acknowledge the importance of families and communities working together to prevent child abuse and promote children&#8217;s and families social and emotional well-being. Child abuse is preventable, and all communities benefit when children and families are well supported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBuilding Together for Prevention\u201d is this year\u2019s theme. Join thread in spreading the word on child abuse prevention. Here\u2019s a list of ways you can support Go Blue Day and get involved!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Check out the Go Blue <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/static1.squarespace.com\/static\/61fef737004f564915c6b3cd\/t\/63d026adb385a75b14e9281f\/1674585786564\/2023+edits+GO+BLUE+Activity+guide.pdf\">activity kit<\/a> for tons of blue creativity!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wear blue, paint your nails blue, or use color shampoo to make your hair blue.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use blue food coloring to make your food blue. You could make blue pancakes or drink blue milk.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Change your Zoom background to a Go Blue one. You can download one for free <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alaskachildrenstrust.org\/child-abuse-prevention-month\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Find a fun event to attend in your community!\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Anchorage: thread will be at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anchorage.net\/event\/go-blue-day-family-activity-fair\/44395\/\">Go Blue Day Family Activity Fair<\/a> this Friday from 4 &#8211; 6 PM at the Fairview Recreation Center.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Statewide: There are a variety of events throughout Alaska, get more information <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alaskachildrenstrust.org\/child-abuse-prevention-month\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Let&#8217;s celebrate Go Blue Day, the kickoff to Child Abuse Prevention Month by building positive childhood experiences for all children.
