If you plan to vote in person, look up your polling location <a href=\"https:\/\/myvoterinformation.alaska.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>. To vote by mail, use<a href=\"https:\/\/absenteeballotapplication.alaska.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> this form <\/a>to request an absentee ballot.<br><br><strong>Review the New Election Map with District Numbers<\/strong><br>Every ten years states update election maps based on US Census data. Alaska\u2019s election map for the 2022 election was finalized in May. District numbers and boundaries have changed, so take a minute to click on the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.akredistrict.org\/map-gallery\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> map gallery <\/a>and find the updated map for your region, making a note of your district number. The number is the seat for your state representative, and the letter is the seat for your state senator. Note: There were several draft versions of the election maps before they were finalized. The <em>2022 May Interim Proclamation Maps<\/em> are the ones that will be used for this year\u2019s election.<br><br><strong>Get to Know the Candidates<\/strong><br>Now that your voter registration is updated and you know your new district number, it\u2019s time to get to know your candidates. The deadline for candidates to file to run in the election was June 1, 2022, and the final list of candidates for each race is available<a href=\"https:\/\/www.elections.alaska.gov\/Core\/candidatelistprim.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> here<\/a>.
