{"id":5379,"date":"2020-05-12T08:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-05-12T16:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.threadalaska.org\/seed\/blog\/alaska-seed-covid-19-update"},"modified":"2020-05-12T08:00:00","modified_gmt":"2020-05-12T16:00:00","slug":"alaska-seed-covid-19-update","status":"publish","type":"seed-blog","link":"https:\/\/www.threadalaska.org\/seed\/blog\/alaska-seed-covid-19-update","title":{"rendered":"Alaska SEED COVID-19 Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"blog_content\">\n<p>In response to the changes COVID-19 has brought to the early childhood education sector, Alaska SEED has updated its policies and procedures to make things a little easier for you during this time.<\/p>\n<p>These changes include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Training costs covered at 100%<\/b>: From April 1 through June 30, Alaska SEED will pay 100% of your training costs through a Professional Development Reimbursement (PDR), up from 75%. <a href=\"\/seed\/financial-support\">Get started<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><b>Conference Reimbursements<\/b>: Get PDR and Travel Reimbursements for attending the AEYC-SEA Conference, recently held in Juneau. <a href=\"\/seed\/financial-support\">Get started<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><b>Easier application process! <\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Get help completing your Alaska SEED reimbursement applications! <\/b>The <a href=\"\/seed\/about-seed\/contact-us\">Alaska SEED team<\/a> is here to help with your application.<\/li>\n<li><b>You can verify and approve your applications by email or text!<\/b> If needed, your acknowledgement on email or text will now serve as your signature.<\/li>\n<li><b>Waive the 60-day policy<\/b> on all Professional Development funding applications during the Government mandates and\/or through the end of the fiscal year (whichever is longer).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As a reminder, all <strong>thread <\/strong>trainings are free through the end of June and are available online statewide. Visit thread\u2019s <a href=\"\/thread\/early-educators\/training\">training calendar<\/a> for available times and topics.<\/p>\n<p>Lastly, if your program did not receive notification of <strong>thread\u2019s <\/strong>COVID-19 Quality Initiative funding, please have your administrator <a href=\"\/thread-blog\/thread-announces-covid-19-quality-initiative-to-support-child-care-programs\">click here<\/a> to apply.
