{"id":3543,"date":"2020-08-11T19:58:02","date_gmt":"2020-08-11T19:58:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thrm.msiak.net\/seed\/training-approval"},"modified":"2024-10-17T09:37:13","modified_gmt":"2024-10-17T17:37:13","slug":"training-approval","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.threadalaska.org\/seed\/training-approval","title":{"rendered":"Training Approval"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading blue\">Training Approval<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>The Alaska SEED Training Approval System ensures that trainings:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>meet consistent standards&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>contain content that reflects current research<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>align with the&nbsp;<a href=\"\/seed\/registry\">Alaska SEED Registry<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>align with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.threadalaska.org\/seed\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/04\/CKC-3rd-Edition-October-2020-WEB2.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Alaska&#8217;s Early Care and Education Core Knowledge and Competencies<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>align with&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.alaskaelg.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Alaska\u2019s Early Learning Guidelines<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Training approved through the Alaska SEED training approval process will be recognized as Alaska SEED approved training for placement on the&nbsp;<a href=\"\/seed\/career-pathways\/career-ladder\">Alaska SEED Career Ladder<\/a>. Approved training is&nbsp;<strong>valid for five years<\/strong>. Many&nbsp;<a href=\"\/seed\/nationally-approved-training-organizations\">nationally-approved training organizations<\/a>&nbsp;recognized by the National Workforce Registry Alliance are also Alaska SEED approved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Are you ready to have your training approved? Follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading blue\">1. Determine Your Training Category<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Early Care &amp; Learning or Specialized Training<\/strong>: If your training is related to the field of early care and learning, or a specialized training, such as healthcare or tax workshop, use the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thread.tfaforms.net\/195\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Early Care &amp; Learning and Specialized Training Approval Application<\/a>. Attach documentation of any credentials or licenses that qualify you to teach this training.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Conference, Event or One-Time Training:<\/strong>&nbsp;If you are a professional development organization or entity and are requesting Alaska SEED approval for a \u201cone-time\u201d training for events such as conferences, institutes, or visiting speakers, use the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thread.tfaforms.net\/196\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Conference or Event Training Approval Application<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading blue\">2. Review Alaska&#8217;s Standards<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Alaska SEED-approved training must align with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.threadalaska.org\/seed\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/04\/CKC-3rd-Edition-October-2020-WEB2.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Alaska&#8217;s Early Care and Education Core Knowledge and Competencies<\/a>&nbsp;(CKC) and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.alaskaelg.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Alaska&#8217;s Early Learning Guidelines<\/a>&nbsp;(ELG). Take time to review these documents and decide how your training aligns with these standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading blue\">3. Apply<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you have determined which application form is appropriate for your training type, download the form below, complete the entire form, and submit it along with any required supporting documents to Alaska SEED.
