Alaskans have two options for voting in the 2022 election: by mail or in person. If you plan to vote in person, look up your polling location here. To vote by mail, use this form to request an absentee ballot.
Review the New Election Map with District Numbers
Every ten years states update election maps based on US Census data. Alaska’s election map for the 2022 election was finalized in May. District numbers and boundaries have changed, so take a minute to click on the map gallery and find the updated map for your region, making a note of your district number. The number is the seat for your state representative, and the letter is the seat for your state senator. Note: There were several draft versions of the election maps before they were finalized. The 2022 May Interim Proclamation Maps are the ones that will be used for this year’s election.
Get to Know the Candidates
Now that your voter registration is updated and you know your new district number, it’s time to get to know your candidates. The deadline for candidates to file to run in the election was June 1, 2022, and the final list of candidates for each race is available here. From this list, you can see the names of candidates running for each office as well as their campaign email address and website.
