What would you do with $70 million dollars to support child care in Alaska?
At 7 pm on Thursday, May 25, Anchorage AEYC invites yearly childhood educators to participate in a virtual focus group to help ensure Alaska makes the best use of this incredible opportunity of over $70 million dollars of federal relief funds to support child care.
The focus group will include small group discussions and polls on recommendations to allocate the over $70 million federal relief dollars anticipated to support childcare over the next two years and beyond. Topics will be on:
- Childcare assistance
- Sustainability grants to child care programs
- Wage supplements
Anchorage AEYC will create a summary of comments and submit in a report to the Governor and Child Care Program Office. Participants will also receive a copy.
