Power to the Profession is a national initiative committed to creating a framework for those working in early childhood by diving into areas such as compensation, high-quality standards and career pathways.
Made up of 15 national organizations, including the National Association for the Education of Young Children, the Power to the Profession task force regularly engages with early childhood professionals to gain consensus on how to best advance the profession.
The theory behind Power to the Profession is this: Early childhood educators and stakeholders must agree on some clear elements that advance the profession. To facilitate this collaboration, the task force has developed eight decision cycles where information is presented to the field for a response.
Now is the time to speak up!
The latest draft recommendations from the Power to the Profession Task Force, Decision Cycles 7+8,
are open for comment and your expertise is needed.
To make sure there is time for thoughtful response, the deadline for feedback has been extended to September 25.
