{"id":5817,"date":"2024-01-19T09:06:49","date_gmt":"2024-01-19T18:06:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.threadalaska.org\/learn-and-grow\/blog\/alaska-seed-roots-award-application-now-open-copy"},"modified":"2024-01-19T09:53:13","modified_gmt":"2024-01-19T18:53:13","slug":"ccpo-broadcast-new-grant-opportunity-focus-on-child-care-grant","status":"publish","type":"learn-and-grow-blog","link":"https:\/\/www.threadalaska.org\/learn-and-grow\/blog\/ccpo-broadcast-new-grant-opportunity-focus-on-child-care-grant","title":{"rendered":"CCPO Broadcast: NEW Grant Opportunity- FOCUS on Child Care Grant"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Child Care Program Office (CCPO) is pleased to announce that the application period is OPEN for a new non-competitive child care grant titled:&nbsp;&nbsp;<em>Focus on Child Care Grant: Building Resilience Post Pandemic.&nbsp;<\/em>The funding for this grant is possible through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Supplemental Fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additional funding is also available to eligible programs located in the Municipality of Anchorage with a grant from the Municipality of Anchorage\u2019s Assembly and Mayor\u2019s Office. The CCPO is partnering with&nbsp;<strong>thread<\/strong>, Alaska\u2019s Child Care Resource &amp; Referral Network, to administer this grant application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Please note: The application period is January 18<sup>th<\/sup>, 2024- February 19, 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following program types are eligible to apply:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Licensed Child Care Center<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Licensed Group Home<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Licensed Family Child Care<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Licensed Afterschool\/School-age Program<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Approved Relative or In-Home Care&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Programs must be open on the date of application and certify they will remain open for three months following receipt of funds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Not eligible:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Programs not licensed through the State of Alaska Child Care Program Office or Municipality of Anchorage.<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Programs not opened as of February 19th, 2024.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We are pleased that\u00a0<strong>thread<\/strong>\u00a0will be offering technical assistance for providers during the grant application and award process.
