Early Childhood Fundamentals: Advancing Children's Physical & Intellectual Development

Referencing the Alaska Early Learning Guidelines (ELG), the content of this session will review the progression of a child’s development and introduce strategies for supporting children’s physical, cognitive, communication and creative skills through intentional planning of activities.

  • Session meets 9:00 am to 3:30 pm with a half hour break
  • The 10 hours of training includes 6 contact hours and 4 from homework
  • Lunch is provided.  If you have special dietary needs, please plan on providing your own lunch

Completion of all four sessions in both the Entry Level 1 and Mid-Level 2 is equivalent to completing Level 4 on the SEED Career Ladder. Additionally, completion of the 80 hours associated with the entry and mid-levels of thread training supports Early Educators interested in pursuing a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential administered by the Council for Professional Recognition by completion of at least 10 hours in each of the 8 CDA Content Areas.

No training dates are currently scheduled.
