Kenai Peninsula CDA Cohort

The Child Development Associate (CDA) Cohort is designed for early childhood educators, both in a center setting working with infant/toddlers or preschool aged children, as well as for Family Child Care (FCC) providers, who are seeking to earn their CDA.

This series of classes will provide up to 112 hours of training that comes from a combination of class instruction, homework and competency assessments. Participants who attend will also have the ability to complete their CDA Professional Portfolio as part of the series.

The cost for this 9 month series of classes is $400. This fee covers the cost of the CDA Competency Standards book, classroom instruction, homework feedback, competency assessments and classroom consultation from an advisor. Prerequisite:  In order to register for the CDA cohort, you must attend a CDA Cohort Orientation class or schedule a one-on-one meeting with Carol Sinenko prior to February 13, 2014.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to cohort assignments and requirements, participants must be working or volunteering with a licensed program to participate in the cohort. Please see attached class schedule for class dates and topics.
