FY14 CDA Cohort Wasilla

The Child Development Associate (CDA) Cohort is designed for early childhood educators, both in a center setting working with infant/toddlers or preschool aged children, as well as for Family Child Care (FCC) providers, who are seeking to earn their CDA.

This series of classes will provide up to 132 hours of training that comes from a combination of class instruction, book work and competency assessments. Participants who attend will also have the ability to complete their CDA Professional Portfolio during the course of the series.

The cost for this 8 month series of classes is $400. This fee covers the cost of books, classroom instruction, homework feedback, competency assessments and classroom consultation from an advisor. Prerequisite:  In order to register for the CDA cohort, you must attend a CDA Cohort Orientation class. 

Classes for the Wasilla Cohort will be begin October 2, 2013 from 7 – 9 pm. Location: TBD

PLEASE NOTE: Due to cohort assignments and requirements, participants must be working or volunteering with a licensed program to participate in the cohort.  It is also recommended that cohort participants have previously taken the Overview/Planting the SEED of Success class. Finally, classes must be taken as a cohort; you may not sign up for classes individually. Please see attached class schedule for class dates and topics.
