Positive Ways to Support Children's Social and Emotional Development -Teaching Strategies for Peaceful Days: Session 2

This interactive training is based on the Teaching Pyramid and CSEFEL principles of social emotional development as presented by TACSEI. Both sessions include videos, discussions, and hands-on learning. The pyramid works to prevent challenging behavior in young children first by creating universal supports for all children.  All children need nurturing relationships and supportive environments to feel secure and successful.

The second session focuses on teaching strategies which help children learn friendship skills, including how to share, how to get along with others, and how to manage their emotions.  The Teaching Pyramid is based on research which demonstrates that only a very small number of children (less than 4%) will need individualized, intensive intervention for challenging behavior if classrooms are built on nurturing relationships, supportive environments, and include responsive teaching strategies.

The Peaceful Days trainings are just the beginning.  If you are interested in implementing some of these strategies in your classroom, individualized consultation is available.

No training dates are currently scheduled.
