Pyramid Model Foundations (Learn & Grow Level 2)

This is a three session training.  All sessions must be attended in order to receive full credit. No partial credit will be given. Training session dates are June 28th 6:00-8:30pm, June 29th 6:00-8:30pm, and June 30th 9:00-2:00pm, 2018.

The Pyramid Model Foundations Training is an evidence based prevention/intervention framework that prevents challenging behaviors and promotes healthy social and emotional development by supporting positive relationships, creating engaging environments, providing concrete teaching strategies, and if/when needed creating individualized interventions for children. The Pyramid Model Foundations training is designed to provide Early Care and Learning (ECL) providers with skills and knowledge to support the needs of young children. The Pyramid framework includes four levels of practice to address the needs of all children, including children with persistent challenging behaviors.

  • THIS TRAINING IS FREE for all Learn & Grow participating programs. Be sure indicate your participation in Learn & Grow by leaving a note in the comment section, and selecting "Bill Me Later" when registering for the course.
  • This training is required for advancement to Level 2 in Learn & Grow:
    • Administrators must complete this session as part of achieving the “Alaska Early Childhood Administrator Credential”
    • Lead teachers must complete this session as part of “Level 2: Moving Into Higher Quality Training”
