Tom Copeland - Business & Fiscal Management for Family Child Care (Learn & Grow Level 2 and Alaska Early Childhood Administrator Credential)

Tom Copeland is the nation’s leading trainer, author and advocate on the business of family child care since 1981. Tom is a licensed attorney and has presented hundreds of business workshops for family child care providers across the country with complex business and tax issues.

Two part class in either Palmer, Anchorage, or Fairbanks:
  • Palmer - June 1st from 6:00 to 9:00 pm and June 2nd from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • Anchorage - June 4-6th from 6:00 to 9:00 pm
  • Fairbanks - June 8th from 6:00 to 9:00 pm and June 9th from 9:00 to 5:00 pm

Cost: Free to FCC providers enrolled Learn & Grow. The cost for providers not enrolled in Learn & Grow is $75.  (All participants, whether participating in Learn & Grow or not, needing travel assistance must complete the Travel Grant application).

Participants will receive free books authored by Tom Copeland for attending!

 Topics covered include:

  • Mastering Record Keeping and Tax Preparation
  • Coming to Terms: How to Effectively Use Contracts and Policies
  • Successful Strategies for Marketing Your Business
  • Reducing Your Risks: Legal and Insurance Issues

 This training is a requirement of Learn & Grow Level 2 and the Alaska Early Childhood Administrator Credential.
