Alaska’s Child Care Program Office (CCPO) has adopted new licensing regulations, effective September 30, 2018. These changes are inclusive of the Child Care and Development Block Grant Act of 2014 requirements.
As part of the new regulations, all individuals currently working in a licensed child care facility are required to meet new Health & Safety training requirements by December 31, 2018. You can view the changes, download tools to assist child care facilities in implementing the changes, and the list of Alaska’s approved Health & Safety training on the CCPO website (under Current Events).
As a reminder, newly hired individuals working in a licensed child care facility will have 3 months from their date of hire to complete this training, effective October 2018.comments powered by Disqus
