Early Childhood Fundamentals: Observing & Recording Children's Behavior
The ongoing cycle of observation is necessary for early educators to learn a child’s interests and strengths as well as areas of development which need further support. Documenting observations through notes or checklists is vital for reflecting on each child’s skill level to influence classroom planning.
Completion of all four sessions in both the Entry Level 1 and Mid-Level 2 is equivalent to completing Level 4 on the SEED Career Ladder. Additionally, completion of the 80 hours associated with the entry and mid-levels of thread training supports Early Educators interested in pursuing a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential administered by the Council for Professional Recognition by completion of at least 10 hours in each of the 8 CDA Content Areas.
No training dates are currently scheduled.
