CDA Cohort Orientation
Are you interested in earning your Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential™?
The Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential™ is the most widely recognized credential in early childhood education (ECE) and is a key stepping stone on the path of career advancement in ECE.
The Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential™ is based on a core set of competency standards, which guide early care professionals as they work toward becoming qualified teachers of young children. The Council works to ensure that the nationally-transferable CDA is a credible and valid credential, recognized by the profession as a vital part of professional development.
This session will review the expectations of thread’s CDA cohort, which supports early educators to meet the requirements for training. The Child Development Associate (CDA) cohort is designed for early childhood educators, both in a center setting working with infant/toddlers or preschool aged children, as well as for Family Child Care (FCC) providers, who are seeking to earn their CDA.
PLEASE NOTE: This orientation class is mandatory prior to registration in the CDA cohort which will begin in early 2014. To learn more about the CDA cohort, please call 907-398-1750.
