Planting the SEED of Success: Building Productive Relationships with Families (Learn & Grow Level 2)

Based on the national Strengthening Families framework aimed at preventing child abuse by supporting the parenting role, this training will introduce the five protective factors every family needs along with strategies to build relationships between the family and the early educator to improve communication and decrease conflicts. The 10 hours of training includes 10 contact hours. Completion of the 40 hours of training in the “Planting the SEED of Success” series is will place early educators on level 3 on the SEED Career Ladder.   • This training is required for advancement to Level 2 in Learn & Grow:
    • Administrators must complete this session as part of achieving the “Alaska Early Childhood Administrator Credential”
    • Lead teachers must complete this session as part of “Level 2: Moving Into Higher Quality Training”
    • For more information about Learn & Grow and the various pathways to complete these training requirements please visit www.aklearnandgrow.org
  • All parts of this training session, when applicable, must be taken together to receive credit for participation. No partial credit or make up is permitted.
    • Part 1 of the training session is on February 11th 9:00am-2:30pm
    • Part 2 & 3 of the training will be completed by Krissy Smith, dates TBA.
