thread Joins Over Hundred Community Events To Showcase: Babies on Track!
More than 160 premiere events will showcase Best Beginnings' Babies on Track, a 14-minute DVD for parents highlighting early learning and healthy brain development. The DVD and accompanying baby board books provide at-home and convenient ways to interact with your children. 7,500 sets of the DVD and board books will be distributed free throughout Alaska to families with children under 2 years of age.
Babies on Track focuses on brain development that happens in our earliest years, before 3 years old. This is a time when talking, conversation, singing and other language are critical to a baby's healthy development. The video introduces this model: T = Talk R = Respond A = Ask questions C = Connect K = Keep at it S = Sing and tell stories thread will be hosting and participating in Babies on Track premieres throughout the state, including in these communities: Fairbanks: Join the Northern / Interior thread office for their Babies on Track Premiere on March 1st, from 6:30pm-8:30pm. Juneau: AEYC - SEA will be showing Babies On Track as a general session activity on March 30tth, at the annual AYEC Early Childhood Conference in Juneau at Centennial Hall. Kenai: Join thread staff and the Greater Kenai / Soldotna Imagination Library at a Babies on Track movie premiere on March 3rd at the Central Peninsula Hospital from 10:00am until 12:00pm. Enjoy family-friendly activities and a free Babies on Track gift pack to the first 75 families with children under 2 years of age.
