Help Support Quality Early Education
thread works with and supports thousands of Alaska’s families and early educators by providing resources like teaching materials and books, family friendly events and high quality training for early educators. We invite you to join us in supporting quality early care and education for Alaska’s children.
It's so easy.
Quality Early Care and Learning
When it comes to child care, it's difficult to express in tangible ways what quality looks like. thread has several initiatives underway to help families understand and be able to identify quality early care and education.
"We're Ready" Campaign
thread has launched a public awareness campaign called "We're Ready." We want families to be able to say “we’re ready” and to feel prepared and confident that their infant, toddler or preschooler is in the best possible child care setting they can be! thread has developed some tools to help families get started in their quality search.
1. Look for these basic characteristics of quality care:
Licensed. Safe. Healthy. Playful.
Learn & Grow - Quality Recogntion & Improvement System
