Quality Initiatives (QI)

thread's Quality Initiatives support your professional development and program quality improvement around a specific early education topic.

All Quality Initiatives include training, goal setting with the development of a Quality Improvement Plan (QIP), consultation to support the implementation of the QIP and a financial stipend of up to $2,000 between funding and/or additional materials.

  • Environment Rating Scale (ERS)

This QI supports programs which are seeking to improve the overall quality of their facility by making changes which impact the environment.

  • Early care and education programs licensed by the State of Alaska or Municipality of Anchorage who are not currently participating in Learn & Grow are eligible to apply.
