May 11 is National Child Care Provider Appreciation Day. Held each year on the Friday before Mother’s Day, Provider Appreciation Day recognizes the tireless efforts of early childhood educators to care for and teach young children.
Governor Bill Walker has also officially proclaimed May 11 as Child Care Provider Appreciation Day in Alaska to recognize early childhood educators across our state. View the proclamation.
So thank you, early educators, for all you do to nurture Alaska’s most precious resource—our children. You are building a brighter, healthier future for all of us.
