The Alaska Senate Finance Committee is accepting public comment on the FY19 operating budget on Friday April 6. We are asking all early childhood advocates to participate. The Senate Education and Early Development Sub-committee has proposed a $600,000 cut to early learning program support in the FY19 budget. Let our legislators know that early childhood resources are important to Alaska and encourage them to to restore the funding and support early childhood resources in FY19 with the same amount proposed by both the Governor and House Finance Committee. .

You can testify in any of the following ways:

  1. Testify in-person. Go to the State Capitol or at your local Legislative Information Office at the designated time and share your story. If testifying in person, you are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes early for the sign-in process.
