The Alaska System for Early Education Development (SEED) is Alaska's early childhood and school-age professional development system. Alaska is one of 40 states to have such a system.

SEED maintains a data system called the Alaska SEED Registry. Joining the SEED Registry is free, and becoming a member of the registry enables early childhood professionals to apply for the following financial support from SEED.

The CDA Application/Renewal Award provides early childhood professionals in Alaska with funding of up to $500 for one Child Development Association (CDA) Credential application or renewal fee per person, per State fiscal year (July 1—June 30), pre-paid directly to the Council for Professional Recognition or as a reimbursement to the applicant.

The Professional Development Reimbursement (PDR) provides early childhood and school-age professionals in Alaska with funding of up to $1,500 per State fiscal year (July 1—June 30) for higher education and/or training.

The Travel Reimbursement (TR) provides early childhood and school-age professionals operating or working in licensed or approved child care programs in Alaska 100% reimbursement of eligible travel-related costs up to $1000 per State fiscal year (July 1—June 30), depending on availability of funding. Qualifying travel must be within Alaska and for higher education/training directly related to early childhood and/or school-age education (birth–age 12), health and safety, facility administration and/or topics directly related to working with young children.
