thread's 9th Annual Book Party in the Park in Anchorage reached more families this year than ever! A record number of books – 6,500 – were donated by the community for the event, and over 1,200 people  – more than double the attendance of 2014 – came out to enjoy the festivities on August 13 at the Mt. View Garden Art Park. After choosing up to 15 books apiece, children enjoyed face painting, crafts, bubbles, live music, a cardboard box construction zone, and story time with special guest readers:Book Party Picture: Girl Looking at Book
