thread has opened a new office in Kenai, further expanding services to reach more families and early educators in Southcentral Alaska. thread, Alaska's Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) network provides child care resources in over 58 communities in Alaska. Including the new office in Kenai, thread has offices and staff in Anchorage, Wasilla and Kodiak. thread also works with partners across the state to provide resource and referral services in Fairbanks, Juneau, Sitka, Ketchikan, Petersburg, Haines and Wrangell.

thread has hired Carol Sineko as a full-time rural outreach specialist to work with families and provide training to early educators on the Kenai Peninsula.
